Tips for Using Facebook Advertising

Facebook Advertising Tips

Over the years, Facebook has proven to be the top social media platform to use for marketing and advertising purposes. Many businesses today know that by sharing relevant, engaging content, they can reach and build organic relationships with potential customers.

While there’s many ways you can use Facebook for your business, probably the most powerful and rewarding feature to focus on is Facebook Advertising. In today’s post, we’re going to discuss how to leverage Fb Ads in order to get the best return on your investment.

Facebook Advertising Tips

  • Target the Right Audience – Depending on the ad you create, you can reach millions of people but it doesn’t mean much if you don’t target the right audience. To determine who might want to engage with your content the most, look into Facebook’s Audience Insights. Make sure you pay attention to what other pages your target audience likes, what are their interests, job titles and what platforms they are engaging on.

  • Design an Appealing Landing Page Getting potential customers to click on your ad is just a start. Making sure they want to stay on your site to sign up for the offer is another thing. If you’re serious about getting good results from your Facebook Advertising campaign, design an appealing landing page that will make the deal so irresistible, the targeted audience would feel like missing out if they didn’t go for it. Things to remember when designing an appealing landing page: know your campaign’s goal (lead generation, sales, brand awareness, etc.), include engaging visuals, stay on brand and get rid of any distractions.

  • Look into Lead Ad Advertising – With Facebook Lead Ad targeting, you can reach the people most likely to be interested in your business and submit your form, so you can efficiently reach high-quality leads on Facebook. By clicking your lead ad, customers will see a form that’s already filled with info they’ve shared with Facebook—like their name, number, or email. Once you capture your leads, you can use the contact info to create Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences to remarket and find new customers.
    FB Lead Ads

  • Create an Eye-Catching Image – When you’re designing a Facebook Ad image, you have to meet certain requirements in order for the content to be approved. That’s because Facebook wants your content to stand out among others. To create an appealing image, don’t overcrowd it with a text copy (use Text Overlay Tool), look beyond the stock photo and always keep it on brand (colors, fonts, message, landing page, etc.)

  • Utilize Video in Your Facebook Ads – Video seems to hold a special place in the Facebook’s feed, so don’t be afraid to use it to your advantage! Video content has proven to bring better results and it’s simply because people love to watch vs. Read. If you’re able to grab your potential customer’s attention within the first 3-4 seconds, you’re golden.

  • Monitor Your Campaign and Adjust It in Real Time. – Don’t wait until the ad is over. Make sure to check your results frequently to ensure you’re getting the most out of the money you invested. If the existent campaign is not resonating with your audience, optimize your call to action or update your audience targeting requirements to reach the right people.

Google Analytics Tools

5 Google Analytics Tools to Include In Your Marketing Strategy

Google Analytics Tools

Tracking conversion is one of the most important tasks we have as digital marketers. Thankfully, there are many free services like Google Analytics tools that we can use to quickly and efficiently measure any inbound marketing efforts. Moreover, we can also see if the website that we’re monitoring is actually helping the business or doing the opposite.

Are you using Google Analytics to its full potential as a business owner or marketer? If you’re not sure, try incorporating these 5 Google Analytics tools into your marketing strategy now.

5 Google Analytics Tools to Include In Your Marketing Strategy

  1. Measure Your Website’s Speed.

As you may already know, SEO plays a huge role in helping your site rank higher in Google Search. Unfortunately, there’s many things than can badly affect your SEO and one of them is your site’s loading time. Moreover, depending on the download speed of your site, you can either gain more website visitors or lose them. To check out your site speed metrics and diagnose any problems, go to Behavior > Site Speed > Overview, or Behavior > Site Speed > Page Timings (for individual pages of your site).

  2. Analyze Site Searches.

Want to know how to deliver content your website visitors came for? Enable a search option on your site and then use Behavior > Site Search in Google Analytics to get the data.

  3. Set Up Goals.

Often overlooked, Goals are a feature that’s simple to use and quite effective at measuring conversion. To create goals, make sure you have admin rights to your Google Analytics page and then go to Admin > Goals > New Goal. From there, you choose a Goal Type you wish to start monitoring (URL Destination, Visit Duration, Page/Visit, Event).

  4. Look into Reporting.

Whether you want to check your own results or report to your clients, you can do so manually or get weekly/ monthly reports straight to your email. To get the most out of your data collection, we recommend covering 7 areas in your Google Analytics report – Audience Overview, Acquisition Overview, Channels, Social Network Referrals, Mobile Overview and Goals Overview.

  5. Stop Tracking Yourself.

Assuming you’re the #1 of your website, you probably visit it every single day. To ensure the traffic you bring is not being registered in your Google Analytics reports, you can use a tool to exclude yourself from any future data collection. First, set up a filter under the “Admin” panel. If you have a static IP address, go to All Filters > Add New Filter, and then set a Predefined Filter to Exclude traffic from your given IP address.

There you have it! Starting with just these 5 Google Analytics tools should give you a great deal of information about your marketing efforts. If you want to learn more on how to get the most out of your Google Analytics, stay tuned for more tips!

How to Prepare Your Business for GDPR

How to Prepare Your Business for GDPR

How to Prepare Your Business for GDPR

In case you haven’t heard, May 25th is the official date by which all businesses need to be ready to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). What is GDPR? It’s a regulation approved by the EU Parliament in April 2016, which applies to any company anywhere in the world that stores or processes data of people who live in the European Union. If your business is not in compliance with GDPR by May 25th 2018, you might face hefty fines – up to $24million (20m Euros) or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is higher. / Read more about it here.

Why GDPR?

This legislation intends to protect the data privacy for EU citizens and create consistent data privacy laws across Europe. If you’re already following the rules of the Data Protection Act (DPA), then you’re on the right path. In today’s post, we’re going to discuss How to Prepare Your Business for GDPR.

Data Retention

Speaking of data collection, it’s also worth mentioning the Google Analytics Data Retention controls. This feature gives you the ability to set the amount of time before user-level and event-level data stored by Google Analytics is automatically deleted from Analytics’ servers. These settings will not take effect until May 25, 2018, so you still have time to choose how long (from 14 months and up) Analytics retains data before automatically deleting it.

Is your Business GDPR Complaint?

Bottom line is the sooner you get your business GDPR compliant the better. To get you started, assign someone on your team responsible for reading the provisions of the GDPR to fully understand the requirements and specific circumstances your business might be involved with. Then make sure all your employees are aware of the new laws.

5 Benefits of a Good Website Design

5 Benefits of a Good Website Design

5 Benefits of a Good Website Design

Did you know investing in a good website design early on is one of the smartest things a business can do? Why? Because there’s no better way to quickly inform your customers who you are, what you do and how you do it better than your competition.

Research shows that a user/ potential customer can form an opinion about your online presence in about .05 seconds once the page loads. That means what they see online can either make or break your business! If a well-designed website is not you first and foremost marketing tool at the moment, we’re here to tell you it’s time to change your approach! Here’s 5 more reasons why a good website design is important for your business growth:

5 Benefits of a Good Website Design

  1.  Better Branding. In simple words, your website should act as an extension of your brand. To leave a lasting impression on your visitors, invest in a professional looking website with clear call-to-actions for potential customers. Also, keep in mind that if your web presence doesn’t transfer to a good experience on mobile devices, about 50% of your visitors will most likely think you don’t care about them.
  2. Higher Google ranking. By creating a responsive and mobile-friendly website, you will have greater success in reaching more potential customers. Implementing SEO and creating quality content tells a search engine like Google that your website is relevant, therefore more people need to see it. Result? Higher rankings!
  3. Data-Driven Results. Use Google Analytics (for free) to learn how your users are interacting with your company’s website and then improve their experience accordingly. Trust us, your website will prove invaluable in providing data about your customers and their buying behaviors!
  4. 24/7 Accessibility. With the help of a good website design, business owners are able to create a user-friendly and welcoming online environment where visitors can get useful information any time of the day.
  5. Better Customer Service. One last thing to remember when it comes to a good website design is that it should be all about the user! That means easy navigation, clean layout, visible contact information, up to date links and of course, quality content. Your clientele will NOT be impressed with a dated and poor functioning website! Remember, first impression counts!

As you can see, a good website design has the potential of becoming the most effective marketing and branding material your business can use.

Are you ready to invest in a good website design?

10 Marketing Tips for Using Facebook Live

10 Marketing Tips for Using Facebook Live

10 Marketing Tips for Using Facebook Live

In light of all the Facebook algorithm changes that were recently announced, there’s one thing you can do now as a business to better market yourself on this social media platform. Get on Facebook Live.

While we understand doing Facebook Live videos/ chats may be intimidating at first, we cannot stress enough how important it is to use this feature to your advantage. By doing so, not only will your business get ahead of the others, but you will also be able to connect with your audience/ customers in a way you’ve never done before.

So where do you start? We’ve compiled the best 10 tips for using Facebook Live, so you can get on it as soon as possible!

10 Marketing Tips for Using Facebook Live

  1. Make people aware of when you’re going live ahead of time.

Teasers are proved to bring higher engagement, so make sure your audience knows exactly when you’re going to broadcast. Don’t forget to check your Facebook insights to determine what’s the best time to reach your people or better yet, do a poll and ask them directly!

  2. Promote, promote, promote.

Don’t let people forget about the upcoming live session! Make sure you boost some posts or run a Facebook ad about the event. Don’t want to spend money on promotion? Change the Facebook cover on your business page for the one with all the FB Live details and cross promote on other channels/ website/ newsletter.

  3. Write a compelling description before going live.

Let people know why you’re going live and what you’ll be covering ahead of time.

  4. Go live with a strong WIFI connection.

There’s nothing worse than losing touch during a live session or breaking up and not getting your point across. ALWAYS make sure you have a great Internet connection before you’re going live.

  5. Ask your viewers to follow you to receive notifications when you go live.

    Facebook Live tips

  6. Once you’re live, acknowledge your viewers frequently.

Say hello to commenters by name and to respond to their comments.

  7. Be authentic.

Going live is a great opportunity to see the face behind the brand, so make sure you live a great impression! The more comfortable you feel in front of the camera, the better your connection will be. That’s why it’s important to practice your talking points before the live session.

  8. Broadcast for longer periods of time to reach more people.

The longer you’re live, the more likely people are to discover and share your video with their friends on Facebook. Also, don’t get straight to the point once you’re live because your audience might be tuning in late. The minimum time you should be live is 10 minutes, but you can go up to 4 hours at a time.

  9. Be creative and go live often.

That’s the best way to keep your audience engaged.

  10. Optimize Your Live Recording.

You’re worried not enough people tuned in to your live stream? Facebook Live videos are immediately archived, so you’ll most likely get more views later on. To keep the interest, add a comment after the live event thanking everyone for watching. Make sure you encourage further comments and follow -up questions to get more news feed activity and engagement. Ask your audience to share the archived copy of the video that will be in the timeline.

The bottom line is, using Facebook Live should be fun for both you and your audience! It’s really the best way to show your audience behind the scenes and to give them a chance to connect with your business on a more personal level. There’s really nothing better you can do to better market your business in this space!

Have you ever used Facebook live before? Tell us about your experience!

What are Google Brand Accounts and Why Should Have One

What are Google Brand Accounts and Why Should Have One

Google Brand Accounts

There’s no denying that Google likes to constantly improve its formula in order to stay relevant and bring its users the best search results possible.

While that kind of commitment to excellence surely is applaudable, it also means we need to keep abreast of every change Google suggests. That is if we want to get the most out of this platform.

So, what’s new with Google lately? If you haven’t heard about the new feature called Google Brand Accounts, we’re here to tell you all about it.

What Is a Google Brand Account?

First of all, a Google Brand Account is NOT to be confused with Google+ pages or Google My Business.

With this new special kind of account for your business or brand, you can publish posts in Google My Business, which appear immediately under your Google Listing in the right-hand corner.

what-is-Google-Brand-Account

You can use certain Google services (e.g. Google+, Google My Business, YouTube) with your Brand Account to create an online presence. If you ask us, that’s really an excellent tool for building SEO and promoting brand specials!

These services can help your business or brand communicate, connect, and share important information with customers and fans.

How Brand Accounts differ from regular Google Accounts?

A Google Brand Account can have multiple owners and people who manage it. You and others can jointly manage a Brand Account through your own Google Accounts. You don’t need a separate username or password for it.

In addition, to manage who can see and interact with your content, it’s important to make sure you adjust each service’s settings.

Needless to say, if you still haven’t taken advantage of what Google Brand Accounts have to offer, don’t wait any longer! If you need more information regarding the set up and maintenance, please visit this link or call us for help!

what-is-Facebook-Algorithm

What To Expect from New Facebook Algorithm

It’s a fact. Whether we like it or not, social media is in constant flux. More often than not, those changes affect the way marketers go about their digital marketing strategies. In other words, if you want to be successful in this business, you must stay on top of the ever-changing industry trends.

Speaking of changes, if you’re one of the over 2.13 billion monthly active Facebook users, you probably already heard of the big announcement Mark Zuckerberg made last month regarding new Facebook Algorithm. If somehow you missed it, below is the full copy of the statement responding to the major News Feed update.

New Facebook Algorithm

Facebook Algorithm changes

The question you’re probably asking now is how does the Facebook Algorithm actually work? Here’s the best way to explain it:

what-is-Facebook-Algorithm

Screenshot from the Social Media Marketing World keynote session. Watch the full presentation here.

Well, if you remember the times when everything you posted on the platform was shown to your audience chronologically, we hope you know that’s a thing of the past. These days, Facebook News Feed is NOT based on time anymore. Instead, it’s all about the CONTENT you share. But not just any content…

Part of the new Facebook Algorithm strategy is to spark meaningful conversations among people, aka your audience/ page followers. In order to do so, Facebook now wants you to only post content that’s relevant and valuable. What it essentially means is that businesses need to rethink their digital marketing strategies and don’t solely focus on promoting a product or service they want to sell. What they should do is forget the numbers and shift their focus onto meaningful community involvement instead.

If you’re just trying to get a grasp of all the new Facebook Algorithm changes, we recommend watching this great Social Media Marketing World keynote session. During his presentation, Michael Stelzner, founder of Social Media Examiner and host of the Social Media Marketing podcast (also worth checking out), reveals in further detail how marketers should respond to the latest Facebook news and shares the hottest trends in social media based on brand new research from over 5,700 marketers.

WATCH: https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/smmworld/sample/

Social-Media-Marketing-World

Some important takeaways from the Social Media Marketing World keynote session:

  1. Post a mix of good content – don’t link just to your own website.
  2. Post content that’s relevant and sparks meaningful conversations.
  3. Educate, entertain and inspire but don’t spam. Less is more.
  4. Shift focus on Community Development not numbers.
  5. Invest in Paid Advertising.
  6. Utilize “See First” feature.
  7. Use Live Video consistently.

If you’re a business or a digital marketer who uses Facebook as part of your marketing strategy, we would love to hear your thoughts on this Facebook algorithm news!
